About Us

Our Story

Lost Hiker Brewing started as a family business, built from the ground up on the love of delicious craft beer. What started as a humble home brewing hobby turned into delicious recipes made with the best ingredients and a commitment to deliver great-tasting local craft beer.

Since 2017, Lost Hiker has been the center of a community of creative, fun-loving people who value spending time with friends and family. That community stepped up when it came time for Lost Hiker, the little local brewery, to change hands and continue its story.

Today, we carry on the same dream that started Lost Hiker: making great beer with great friends right here in the Sacramento Mountains of Lincoln County, New Mexico.

Thank you for joining us in this endeavor. We are all excited to bring folks together to this beautiful place for fun, tasty beer. We are happy you are here.

Stay awhile, have a beer. As the original Lost Hiker, Dan Carey, liked to say, “Brew what you love, love what you brew.”

-Steve, Lauren, Mickey, Emily, Luther, Amanda, Kyle, KayCee, Tim, Marin, and our whole crew.

Here for the Beer!?

    Current Events

    988; Suicide Prevention Month

    988; Suicide Prevention Month

    988; You are not alone

For the month of September, we host a beer called 988 to help spread awareness of the Suicide and Crisis Hotline; 988.

We do this because everyone has been touched by suicide. We do this because we wish we would have been the ear, the push, the hug, the call. We wish we could have seen the signs and provided someone with resources or had the resources to understand what we could do to help. They deserved a chance, a lifeline. 988 is that.

    NATIONAL SUICIDE PREVENTION AWARENESS

    September 6 – 12, 2026

988; will be available for the month of September.

If you are thinking about suicide, are worried about a friend or loved one, or would like emotional support, the Lifeline network is available 24/7 across the United States. Call, text or chat 988.

Warren Kasper from the Fort Stanton - Snowy River Cave National Conservation Area has lead several hikes this year as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of American independence.

These hikes have been and so informational!

    There is one hike left!

    Lava Lookout: October 3rd @ 10:00am

Location: Meet at Valley of Fires Recreation Area Visitor Center

2026 is not only the 250th anniversary of American independence, it is also the 60th anniversary of Valley of Fires Recreation Area. This guided hike will go along portions of the Kipuka Trail and the Malpais Nature Trail to explore the plants and animals that call the Carrizozo Lava Flow home. The hike will take about 90 minutes with minor changes in elevation over uneven, and at times rocky surfaces.

If you are down for some hiking, come join us. There might be a sweet LHB surprise waiting out on the trail.
